What is CAMEO?

CAMEO stands for 'Come And Meet Each Other' and has evolved from what was the over 60's club, which started in Bourne over 20 years ago.

The name change came about to encourage younger people to join, so t is now open to anyone over 50 - and although we are predominantly ladies - men are most welcome to join us as well!

It is held every Thursday afternoon (during school term time only) and we have 25 members.  We start at 2pm and finish at 3.30pm, depending on the activity.  Subscription is £2 per month.

The programme is varied and consists of speakers, outings, crafts, music and christian celebrations such as Harvest and Songs of Praise.  We support a Salvation Army initiative called 'Helping Hands' and have a Bring & Buy Stall every week to raise funds.

Although run by members of The Salvation Army, it is open to everyone and as a fellowship group, we support each member any way they may need.  Helping to combat loneliness and giving sound advice on any issue; be it well-being or financial.

We warmly invite you to come along and see what we are all about.
